Meet Vince Binkoski
Candidate for Mayor of Wharton

A Wharton resident since 1991, he and his wife, Jill, raised their two children, Adam and Jack, in the community, where both attended Wharton schools. A U.S. Army veteran who served during the first Gulf War, he remains active in American Legion Wharton Post 91. His dedication to Wharton includes years of coaching youth football, baseball, and basketball; serving as president of the Jr. Knights football program; launching the town’s travel basketball league; and serving on the Wharton School Board. A council member since 2003 and current council president, his first major project was overseeing construction of the field house at Robert Street Park. In 2025, he was inducted into the Elected Officials Hall of Fame in recognition of his many years of public service.

Meet Mark DiGennaro

For Council

A lifelong Wharton resident, he and his wife, Maureen O’Neill DiGennaro, raised their three children—Jesse, Mark, and Pete—in the community, where they attended local schools. A local business owner for more than 40 years, he has dedicated decades to Wharton’s schools, youth programs, and recreational facilities. He currently works as a security assistant and football coach at Morris Hills High School.

  • Served on the Morris Hills Regional School Board from 2008 to 2021, including three years as board president

  • Helped secure approval for new athletic fields, roofs, and facility improvements at Morris Hills and Morris Knolls

Meet Anna Jones

For Council

Born in Uruguay, she came to the United States in 1969 and became a naturalized citizen in 1977. Fluent in English and Spanish, she and her husband, Chester E. Jones Jr., have three children—Megan, Jonathan, and Shelby—and four grandchildren. She has built a distinguished career at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman while dedicating many years to public service and the Wharton community.

  • Serving as a Borough of Wharton councilwoman since 2023

  • Served on the Wharton Library Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2022

  • Served on the Wharton Planning Board from 2022 to 2023

  • Volunteers as a Spanish translator at Calvary Chapel Morris Hills

  • Former Wharton Wolves soccer coach and foster parent

  • Employed by Porzio, Bromberg & Newman since 1997 in relationship management, IT training, and application support
